2010 Volksfest & Art Fair Raffle

First Prize: Created by TJ Brecht, Original Furniture Designs of Chaska, this clock and mirror combination was created with reclaimed materials from Victoria’s lake side coal shed building. Thanks go to Hartman Communities for donating this raffle prize.

Raffle 1st Prize - Donated for the Raffle by Hartman Communities, this TJ Brecht Originals clock and mirror are valued at over $800

Second Prize: Trek 4300 Hard Tail Mountain Bicycle.

Tickets are $10 (three chances to win for $10) and may be purchased from downtown Victoria businesses.

Volksfest & Art Fair Battle of the Bands

Are you a Rock Star? Do you want to be a Rock Star? Here’s your chance – the 2010 Volksfest and Art Fair Battle of the Bands! The event will be held on the main stage between 12:30 and 5 PM on August 28th. Participants must be in one of two categories: under 16 or 16-20 years of age. All acts are limited to 3 songs. First and second-place prizes will be given to the winners in both divisions. Free hot dogs and soft drinks will be provided for all performing participants. Winners earn their own “gig” at Floyds and/or Vic’s Bar and Grill!

ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY AUGUST 18, 2010. If you have any questions, please contact contest coordinator, Rena Hall, at (952) 913-6129. Entries will be received on a first-come, first-served basis. All acts perform on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 on the main stage in downtown Victoria.

The Volksfest & Art Fair Bed Races are back for 2010! Prizes are: First Place, $100 plus trophy (to be displayed with your team’s name in School of the Wise). Second Place $50. Most Creative Design, $50.
